What is Sytenol ® A Bakuchiol

In short, it's a plant-based, completely natural retinol 'alternative' or sometimes called bio retinol, and Sytenol ® A Bakuchiol is the purest form available. An amazing, award-winning, anti-ageing, active ingredient with proven clinical results.

You may have heard of Babchi Oil, however this isn't Bakuchiol, even though they're often coined as the same thing. The ingredient 'Bakuchiol' cannot be legally listed on the INCI of your product unless it's 99%+ pure, and this is where Sytenol®A enters the equation.

Babchi oil comes from the seeds of the Psoralen Corylifolia plant which is native to Asia. The oil extracted from these seeds constitutes as a raw, crude oil and is not safe in skincare. Bakuchiol on the other hand, specifically Sytenol ® A Bakuchiol, is a single molecule found 'within' Babchi oil.

On its own it's been clinically proven to behave in a very similar way to retinol; in that it reduces lines and wrinkles, smoothes out uneven skin tones, and firms the skin.
